No mining at Morgan’s Bluff and no connections to the ocean.

ABOUT US

Some of the greatest minds in the country have united on a project that will impact an island and its people for generations to come.

The Economy

For generations, the North Andros economy has been driven by farmers, fishermen, spongers and other day laborers. The North Andros Mining Project will be the first big step to diversify the Bahamian economy. More importantly, it will create long-term, high-paying jobs for Androsians. The projected 40-year project will ignite and fuel a passion for non-traditional Bahamian careers in marine biology, chemistry, and other sciences.

The People

Bahamians are proud of their culture, and rightfully so. There’s none like it. North Andros is a close-knit community of men and women who are not afraid of a little sweat on their brow. Humble and laid back, Androsians greet you with a gentle wave or head nod. As boastful as any other Bahamian, these islanders know the treasures of their island and where they are buried—in the people. Spend a day in the settlements of North Andros, and you’ll be compelled to agree.

The Environment

The North Andros Mining Project will be the first Bahamian-led, environmentally-conscience venture on the island. With that comes great responsibility to conduct extensive scientific research and report its findings to the public with transparency and truth. This is the pledge that our expert team of environmentalists and scientists have made.

Giving Back

North Andros is our second home and so it is only fitting that we give back to this community. Providing jobs and economic opportunities are small gestures, and we want to support North Androsians for the long-term. In doing so, we are planning infrastructural renovations to docks and other sea ports of entry, and assisting with other community projects. It is imperative that, once completed, the land that is used for this Project serves as a resource for the community. This, above all, is our top priority.
